FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Las Vegas, NV – September 26, 2015 – MyWoundDoctor®, LLC announces that its clinical wound care support for patients that leverages a telehealth-supported wound imaging application developed Tissue Analytics, Inc. was featured in the Fall clinical poster session exhibit of the annual conference of SAWC (Society for Advanced Wound Care). Using the Tissue Analytics-developed smartphone application and patient care monitoring platform, MyWoundDoctor produced clear images of a patient’s healing wound, which benefited from MWD’s clinical support and wound care supply protocols. The MyWoundDoctor clinical results were featured in the poster presented by Tissue Analytics. The poster, Objective Wound Assessment and Telemonitoring Software, presented conclusions that included (1) the automated software performed significantly better than ruler-based wound measurements, (2) the software application was proven to be usable in a clinical setting, and (3) the software can be used to inform better treatment decisions.
MyWoundDoctor’s Chief Medical Officer, Nicholas Sieveking, MD endorsed the Tissue Analytics’ application and platform as “a game changing technology that enables MyWoundDoctor to care for patients in all care settings, thereby bringing specialized wound care clinical support and a preferred approach to customizing the wound care supplies needed for each patient’s wound care based on the accuracy of the software in documenting the size and complexity of the patient’s wound.” Dr. Sieveking continued, “We are delighted to work with the Tissue Analytics team as they configure their application and platform for our clinical needs, and appreciate that our treatment results could illustrate within their SAWC case study that telemonitoring software is essential in reducing the overall medical costs associated with wound care in the US.”
